As the coronavirus pandemic continues, fashion designers are shifting production from fashion to COVID-19 protective gear. As storefronts close amid the quarantine, the fashion industry– both with production and demand — have slowed. Utilizing their skills, the shift to creating face masks has been one way the industry is pitching in to help during this pandemic. While some designers have temporarily halted collections, others have found themselves without a job, and wondering when their next paycheck will come.
